Velocity Deep V Rear Wheel - Black

The Velocity Deep V is an extremely lightweight 30mm-profile rim. It was originally intended for road racing and has been adopted in the fixie community because it is lightweight, strong and durable.

It is a professional, elegant rim with a BLB track hub. It can be used for training, travelling or just riding, for long distances, fixed gear and daily rides. It is a strong, well-rounded rim and one of Velocity’s best sellers.

The size is 700c, meaning it is compatible with all road-bike tyres. You can mount 23, 25 or 28 tyres and will need a 48mm-valve inner tube. And it is crucial you mount a rim strip between the tyre and the inner tube to reduce or prevent punctures.

Velocity was founded by Tom Black just outside of Brisbane, Australia in 1989. In 1991 we introduced our first aluminum rim, the Aero. Velocity set itself apart by offering a variety of rim drillings, sizes, and colors for the custom wheel builder. Our reputation was formed by providing an exellently manufactured and high quality product, with service and flexibility that is unmatched.

In 1998 we began to produce fully built wheels using cleverly sourced high end components paired to Velocity rims. Many generations of high end, fully customizable wheels later, The Wheel Department was formed in Grand Rapids, Michigan near the beginning of 2011. In January 2012 we packed up our Australian facility and moved it to Jacksonville, Florida. All rims are now proudly made in the United States.
