Every day more and more cyclists prefer to ride at home during the winter. The cold, the rain and consequently the high probability of catching a severe cold are strong arguments to enjoy cycling comfortably on the roller, in the living room at home. This, added to virtual environments such as Zwift or Bkool where cyclists can be measured in online races is making the rollers a more than interesting option to take advantage of the time we have to train to the maximum.

Within this virtual whirlpool, the Movistar team has presented their competitor “Movistar Virtual Cycling“. A series of tests that combine online and head-to-head qualifiers through stages and 100% real competitions. The starting gun will be fired on April 1st, and throughout the year the different qualifying events will take place coinciding with the World Tour events. Those classified will meet in the world finals, on 13, 14 and 15 September at the Festibike, the international bicycle fair that will take place in the Madrid town of Las Rozas.

The Bkool simulator allows you to recreate, in a real way, the conditions of the route and the competition: distance, different levels, power of each cyclist, slipstreaming, landscape, orography or even the weather. Bkool currently has more than 100,000 active users worldwide.

To participate in the qualifying phases you will need to access the Bkool virtual platform, and to access the final phase you will need to hit the roller hard, as the test is open to both amateurs and professionals.
