The Fuji Bikes Track Elite Carbon bike represents the top of the Santafixie track bikes and maybe even in the world of velodrome.
The Fuji Elite Track has been developed in wind tunnels of the A2. It is one of the most rigid track bikes that have been made, and once it was one of the first track bikes that used a tapered head tube. Its developers have been aware that every second, every pedaling and every handlebar movement is very important when you are in the track and can not waste a single watt of cyclist power.
It is made of the same carbon c10 fiber used in the Tour de France, its has an aerodynamic profile which is perfect for cutting the wind. Still, Fuji Bikes realized that an airfoil could be efficient with the wind but rerested rigidity to the frame. They also realized that many frames did not work very well in crosswinds and made it complicated to get control over the bike. But Fuji Bikes overcame all these problems through new tube designs of carbon C10 fiber, thus getting streamlined and an excellent control over the bike.
At the end of the day, the Fuji Bikes Elite Track is a high quality track bike, designed for the most demanding riders, who train and compete in velodrome..
Originally founded as a Japanese bicycle manufacturing company (Nichibei Trading) in 1899, Fuji is one of the oldest surviving bicycle brands in the world. Fuji's steadfast philosophy in utilizing the most advanced technology and incorporating elite athlete input into its high-performance products has enabled the brand to endure while others have faltered. Fuji expanded to the United States market in the 1970s and stormed onto the international racing scene in the '80s, with the likes of Olympic gold medalists Mark Gorski and Connie Paraskevin.
Today, Fuji has joined forces with parent company Advanced Sports International (ASI) to become a truly global cycling brand. Building on a legacy of firsts dating back to Japan's first Olympic cycling appearances in the 1920s, sponsorship of the first U.S. women's road racing team (Fuji-Suntour) in the '70s, and numerous world championship and national titles over the past century, Fuji's pinnacle moment came in 2011 when Juan Jose Cobo earned the brand its first-ever grand tour victory at the Vuelta a España.
This bicycle comes in a well protected box, about 80% assembled. The most complicated is already mounted from the factory and the rest is quite easy to do. You will have to place the front wheel, the pedals, the saddle and adjust the handlebar.
At the top you will see a video where one of our mechanics explains in a few simple steps how to correctly assemble this. If you do not feel confident to finish the assembly, we recommend you take the bicycle to a nearby bicycle store/workshop for a specialist to complete the bicycle build.
