In 1889 two brothers, Édouard Michelin and André Michelin, ran a rubber factory in Clermont-Ferrand, France. One day, a cyclist whose pneumatic rim needed repair showed up at the factory. They repaired his bike but he failed again after a few meters. Despite the setback, Édouard was enthusiastic about the pneumatic rim, and he and his brother worked on creating their own bicycle tyre. In 1891 Michelin took out its first patent for a detachable bicycle tyre.
The Michelin brand, of French origin, currently develops, manufactures and markets tyres for all types of vehicles, from airplanes to cars, two-wheelers, civil engineering, subways, agriculture and trucks. The returned product(s) must be in new condition and, if possible, with its original packaging. The use of the product should not go beyond the verification of its new condition and functioning upon receipt. If this is not the case once we have received your return, the product or products could suffer a depreciation of its original value, or in extreme cases the return would not be accepted.
In the case of bicycles, in no case will we accept a return with traces of use, scratches, mounting marks, dirt on the tires, damage caused by improper packaging or any other type of damage that makes it impossible to put the bike back on sale. We will check that it is in perfect condition and with the seals intact. If Santafixie detects any damage it reserves the right not to accept the return. If the bicycle is not accepted and needs to be returned, it will be sent back to the buyer at the customer's expense.
