OPEN New U.P. Gravel Frameset - Green:
Are you looking for a higher-end gravel frame, with a well-thought-out design and endless mounting possibilities? The OPEN New U.P. Green Gravel Frame is the improved version of the successful U.P. (Unbeaten Path) that has conquered numerous magazines and won awards such as the Eurobike Gold Award. Combine the best of two worlds: road and mountain biking: the geometry of road bikes to go fast and compatibility with mountainbike 650b tyres up to 54mm.
For the New U.P. frame, OPEN designers did not simply adapt the geometry of a road bicycle. They designed it from scratch, keeping in mind all the assembly needs for different terrains. They used different types of carbon fibre: high strength where necessary and high modulus in the rest of the frame to combine lightness and rigidity. They dropped the right chainstay so that it could be built wider. Therefore, it is more rigid and allows compatibility with many groupset standards.
Other examples of the features offered are the internal wiring, the possibility of mounting disc brakes, placing bottles or bags on the upper tube, and the minimum insertion mark on the seat tube (not only on the seat post).
The new version of this frame is a lighter, built for the flat-mount standard and has a lighter and stiffer fork. Do you want to miss one of the most versatile and highest quality gravel bicycle frames?
'Working hard to stay small', that is the motto of OPEN. Does it sound contradictory? Well, that's what the two founders of the Swiss company pursue. They are two faces known in the world of cycling: Gerard Vroomen and Andy Kessler. Vroomen has worked for Cannondale, Scott, BMC (he was CEO for 7 years) and Cerveló; here he met Kessler, who had been one of the co-founders.
With their extensive experience in the two largest sectors of cycling, road and mountain bikes, they founded OPEN to design and build a bike that they would like to use. They wanted to focus on the design of the bikes and deal with customers and forget the concerns of large companies: sponsorships, marketing, complete bicycles, flashy offices, etc.
Even so, without any marketing, the frames have won awards such as the Eurobike Award and have been praised by numerous cycling magazines that have highlighted their ingenious and light design, their compatibility with numerous components and above all, its versatility.

We recommend that before making the return, you get in touch with us through email: orders [at] santafixie [dot] com.
The returned product(s) must be in new condition and, if possible, with its original packaging. The use of the product should not go beyond the verification of its new condition and functioning upon receipt. If this is not the case once we have received your return, the product or products could suffer a depreciation of its original value, or in extreme cases the return would not be accepted.
In the case of bicycles, in no case will we accept a return with traces of use, scratches, mounting marks, dirt on the tires, damage caused by improper packaging or any other type of damage that makes it impossible to put the bike back on sale. We will check that it is in perfect condition and with the seals intact. If Santafixie detects any damage it reserves the right not to accept the return. If the bicycle is not accepted and needs to be returned, it will be sent back to the buyer at the customer's expense.
