The adjustable QL hooks on the top and sliding hook on the bottom require no tools for installation, and the lower hook rail is made from a two-component “hard-soft” synthetic material to reduce abrasions on the carrier. In addition, the symmetrical shape of the bags means that they can be used on either the right or left side of the bike.

With 3M Scotchlite reflectors, these bags are highly reflective, making sure that you remain visible and safe while cycling. In 1982, Hartmut Ortlieb founded ORTLIEB Sportartikel GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. The first ORTLIEB bike panniers were created in pure personal need for waterproof equipment. ORTLIEB’s first products were hand-made on his mother’s sewing machine: dry bags and bicycle panniers made of truck tarps.
