The Schwalbe Fat Frank K-Guard Tyre 26" in Brown White Reflex is the perfect city tyre for daily use, providing outstanding durability and reliability. This tyre has been designed to meet the demands of commuters and urban cyclists looking for a reliable and sturdy tyre that can withstand the rigours of the road.
The Schwalbe Fat Frank K-Guard Tyre 26" features a tread with a wider surface, which provides a greater support surface and increased stability. This allows for better grip and control, providing cyclists with the confidence to take on any terrain. The tyre is part of the Active Line range, a range that features high-performance tyres designed to meet the needs of cyclists at all levels.
The tyre size is 26x2.35" (ETRTO 60x559), with a rigid tyre bead design that is best used with inner tubes. The tyre is made from Schwalbe Basic Compound (SBC), a high-quality composite material that provides excellent performance and durability. The tyre also features a TwinSkin sidewall, an additional rubber layer on the sidewalls that reduces the risk of punctures and cuts.
The Schwalbe Fat Frank K-Guard Tyre 26" has a recommended pressure range of 1.5 4 Bars (20 55 psi), and it comes with reflective stripes that provide added safety in low-light conditions. With a weight of 975g and a maximum load capacity of 140kg, this tyre is perfect for daily city use.
The history of Schwalbe dates back to the early 20th century when the Bohle family set up their first company in England's nascent bicycle industry. As early as 1922 they opened a distribution centre for bicycle components in Germany, where they now have their headquarters in Reichshof-Wehnrath. In 1983 they created the Marathon tyre, the first long life and high puncture resistance tyre.
Schwalbe was the pioneer in giving a second life to tyres, launching its recycling initiative in 1993. In this way, they prevent the incineration of millions of tyres and inner tubes, turning the old wheels once again into raw materials such as steel or granulated rubber, which is used to pave athletic tracks or playgrounds.
